The hottest tickets in Toon sold out in seconds this morning, leaving many Sam Fender fans disappointed.
The Hypersonic Missiles star can now add a sold-out 11,000 capacity Newcastle Arena show to his tour schedule. The North Shields chart-topper is also due to play four Newcastle Academy gigs this winter, which are also complete sell outs.
The tickets were unavailable online shortly after going on sale at 9am Friday morning. ChronicleLive contacted Newcastle Arena, which said it does not plan to sell any in person from the box office.
It means the 25-year-old has sold 19,000 tickets for his upcoming Newcastle shows. Fans who missed out on tickets for Sam's gig at the Arena on Friday April 3 are convinced he could sell even more.
Many are calling for Sam to announce further arena shows due to huge demand.
Jess, from Newcastle, tweeted: "Please do a second Newcastle date, tickets went sooooooo quick :-(."
Fellow fan Matt tweeted: "Think you’re gonna have to release more Newcastle dates there lad."
Another fan asked Sam to put on at least three more Newcastle gigs, so they 'stand a fighting chance' of getting tickets.
Kieran, also from Newcastle, suggested Sam picks an even bigger venue: "Just announce the St James' gig," he wrote on Twitter.
A quick glance at Newcastle Arena's schedule shows there are no events confirmed as planned at the venue Saturday April 4, although ChronicleLive is not aware of any plans to add new Newcastle dates.
But he has added a second night at London's Alexandra Palace due to demand.
