Sam Fender draws huge Mouth of the Tyne crowd at homecoming show - can you spot yourself?

Were you one of the lucky thousands who saw Sam Fender come home for his huge Mouth of the Tyne gig?

The North Shields singer-songwriter has had a huge year, from signing a record deal, playing shows in America and recording his debut album.

Sam was back one home turf last night for a sold-out show at Tynemouth Priory, just a short walk from the Surf Cafe where he honed his skills.

Despite fears of a wash-out and storm warnings, the weather played its part. The 25-year-old walked out on stage to the sound of Mark Knopfler's local hero as the sun shone on the Priory crowd, who were certainly enjoying themselves.

Today, Sam is performing in Hyde Park, London, where he is sharing a bill with Neil Young and Bob Dylan.

In December, Sam is due to play four sold-out shows at Newcastle's O2 Academy.

His debut album, Hypersonic Missiles, is released on August 9.

Mouth of the Tyne festival continues today. Jack Savoretti plays tonight, Rick Astley headlines on Saturday and the Proclaimers top Sunday's bill.
