Sam Fender adds new Alexandra Palace date to UK tour: How to get tickets

Sam Fender has added a new date at London’s Alexandra Palace after his first show sold out in minutes.

The North Shields artist, who released his debut album Hypersonic Missiles earlier this month, is heading out on a UK tour next year.

Tickets went on sale at 9am this morning, with seven of the nine concerts selling out almost immediately. The show at Newcastle’s Utilita Arena — effectively Fender’s hometown gig — was completely booked up in just eight minutes.

Fender had originally been scheduled to play at the 10,000-capacity Alexandra Palace on March 27, and will now play a second show the day before, on March 26.

His debut album was a critical success, and received a four-star review from the Standard’s David Smyth, who called Fender “a portrait painter, going for state of the nation songwriting”. Read the review in full here.
