Bullish Sam Cosgrove insists he has seen the difference in training ground intensity at Birmingham and Aberdeen after just ONE session.
The 24-year-old has signed a three and a half year deal with the Blues with the Dons are understood to have banked £2million for the frontman.
Cosgrove joined Aberdeen from Carlisle United in 2018 and went on to score 47 goals in 103 appearances.
However, after leaving Pittodrie he has taken a veiled dig at his former side insisting there has already been a step up under Aitor Karanka when compared to sessions under Derek McInnes.
When asked what has been said to him by new boss Karanka, Cosgrove told the club website: "Just to be myself really.
"The manager doesn't need any bigging up. Him and his staff have come with a massive pedigree and I'm really looking forward to working under him.
"I've had my first training session and I can see the intensity which they train at. It's something that I've not done in a few years, but I'm looking forward to it.
"I'm sure the quality that the manager brings and the quality in the squad will make me raise my game.

"I'm looking forward to it, I'm here for a challenge, but the manager has told me just to be myself. He has chosen to bring me here and hopefully I'm part of the plans for a while."
However, he did give his former gaffer plaudits for helping him find scoring form during his stay in the Premiership.
He added: "For a good two seasons I had real success finding the back of the net and I think of the credit for that goes to the manager there, the work we did behind the scenes and the team we had there."
