Aberdeen have received a major boost with the news Sam Cosgrove has made a dramatic recovery in time for the Rijeka showdown.
The club’s top scorer had been ruled out by Derek McInnes, with the Dons boss on Wednesday afternoon insisting Cosgrove couldn’t sprint or jump.
But the striker has made a miraculous improvement over the past 24 hours and starts in the crucial Europa League clash with the Croats.
It’s given Aberdeen a huge lift with Cosgrove having already scored eight goals this season.
The Reds are attempting to overturn Rijeka’s 2-0 first-leg lead at Pittodrie tonight.
McInnes has named an attacking team as they look to score a minimum of two goals in the 90 minutes.
The manager has also included Jon Gallagher, Ryan Hedges and Niall McGinn in the forward areas.
