Sam Bradford dealing with ankle injury, Stefon Diggs returns to practice

Quarterback Sam Bradford was limited by an ankle injury that presumably occurred in the loss to the Detroit Lions. He had a slight hitch in his step as he walked through the locker room after practice Monday, but it would be a surprise if he didn't start Thursday night against the Cowboys.

Wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who missed last week's loss to the Lions with a knee injury, returned to practice Monday morning, albeit on a limited basis. He seemed to be feeling good, too. As hip-hop music blared in the indoor practice facility, Diggs danced to get loose at the start of position drills.

Six other starters or key contributors sat out practice again. The walking wounded still include center Joe Berger, cornerbacks Captain Munnerlyn and Marcus Sherels, safety Harrison Smith and, of course, defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd.

The Vikings say middle linebacker Eric Kendricks was a limited participant, but he didn't do anything in the portion open to media.

Meanwhile, veteran outside linebacker Chad Greenway did not practice Monday morning due to the pending arrival of his fourth child with wife Jennifer, per a team source.
