Sam Asghari defends Britney Spears' parenting with comment about his 'future children'

Britney Spears ' husband has broken his silence regarding Kevin Federline's decision to share old footage of the star arguing with her two sons.

Sam Asghari has praised his wife's parenting skills, and publicly declared he hopes the multi-award winning singer will discipline their "future children" in a similar manner should they "act up".

His public comment comes in the wake of Britney's lawyer releasing a lengthy, passionate statement about Kevin's recent behaviour, in which he brands the former backup dancer's actions "cruel, bottom of the barrel stuff" and claims the dad-of-six has created "legal issues" for himself.

On Wednesday, Kevin, 44, shared footage of ex-wife Britney, 40, arguing with their sons on Instagram, telling the award-winning singer: "The lies have to stop."

The now-deleted footage - filmed and shared without Britney's consent - comes after the global icon claimed her teenage sons Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15, had acted "hateful" towards her when they visited.

In one video, Britney appeared to argue with one of her sons over their skincare, and another showed the singer expressing her shock that eldest Sean didn't wear shoes in an ice cream shop in Alaska -telling him she was confiscating his phone over it, which sparked a row between the pair.

Kevin - who Britney divorced in 2007 - has since deleted the unauthorised videos, but a version has since been shared by Instagram account The Shade Room to their 27.1million viewers.

Amongst the comments underneath the footage - the majority supporting Britney - Sam added his verdict on his wife's ex-husband's decision to share videos of the star filmed without her knowledge, and defended her parenting skills.

He wrote: "I hope this is how she is with my future children when they act up."

Britney and Sam have been open about their desire to start a family together, following the singer's controversial 13-year conservatorship being terminated in November 2021 - leaving her free to take control of her own reproductive choices.

The couple - who tied the knot earlier this year - sadly experienced pregnancy loss in May, just weeks after they excitedly announced the Gimmie More singer was expecting their first child together.

"Our love for each other is our strength. We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family. We are grateful for all of your support," the pair told their fans in a joint statement issued on Instagram at the time.

The music legend emotionally told a court last year that she hoped to start a family with her actor beau but had been forced to have contraception fitted in her body due to her controversial conservatorship.

"I would like to progressively move forward, and I want to have the real deal. I want to be able to get married and have a baby," Britney admitted during her virtual testimony in June 2021.

"I have an [IUD] inside of myself so I don’t get pregnant. They don’t want me to have children — any more children."

Britney is already a mother to the two sons she shares with ex-husband Kevin, while Sam is yet to become a father.

Sean Preston and Jayden James - now teenagers - were both under two-years-old when their mum Britney was placed under her conservatorship the year following her divorce from Kevin.

Over recent weeks, Kevin has made a serious of public statements regarding his ex's relationship with their two children - claiming their two sons currently aren't speaking with their mother and have concerns over her racy Instagram posts.

In addition to an explosive ITV interview, Kevin also made the decision to share footage of the singer arguing with her children in the past to his Instagram followers on Wednesday, in a since-removed post.

Britney's lawyer claims her ex-husband has created "various legal issues for himself, including, but not limited to, implicating cyber-harassment and cyber-bullying statutes" following his decision to share unauthorised videos of Britney and her two sons online on Wednesday.

Mathew Rosengart describes his client as a "brilliantly talented, extremely hardworking icon" and adds that "the same, unfortunately, cannot be said about Mr. Federline", following the dad-of-six's recent tell-all interview and public social media post.

"Britney has faithfully supported her children and she loves them dearly. Whether he realizes it or not, Mr. Federline has not only violated the privacy and dignity of the mother of his children, he has undermined his own children, whose privacy he should protect," Britney's attorney states within the lengthy statement shared with the Mirror Online.

"Putting aside his ITV interview, Mr. Federline’s ill-advised decision to post an old video of his 11 and 12-year-old children was cruel, bottom of the barrel stuff. It was abhorrent."

The Mirror has previously approached representatives for Kevin for comment.
