Salsburgh residents create magical fairy trail during lockdown

RESIDENTS in Salsburgh have created a magical mystery tour to help the village’s youngsters cope during lockdown.

The fantastic fairy trail, which was the brainchild of local mums Louise Dolan and Kayley Brannan, was brought to life in woodland near the village after the two ladies decided to make walks with their kids more exciting.

The children were encouraged to design a wide array of fairy doors which were then nailed on to the trees to create a trail.

And after Louise posted pictures of the trail on social media, the popular attraction has grown arms and legs with young families and visitors of all ages having added their own touches of magic, with fairy gnomes, bunting and colourful characters appearing to entertain all.

Local resident Ann Binks told the Advertiser: “This has had a lot of interest and we now have visitors from other villages coming along to show their children the magic we have created during lockdown.

“It has been a great opportunity for the village to provide magic for our children.”
