We started this week with an adorable photo of Katrina Kaif, dressed as a bride, hugging Salman Khan’s mother, Salma Khan, on Bharat sets in Malta. The photo was shared by Salman’s sister Arpita Khan Sharma but she soon deleted the photo.
But such is the nature of the beast, we mean social media here, that the photo was the viral by the time it was deleted. The reason could be Katrina’s bridal avatar or Arpita’s funny reaction to someone who tagged it as ‘saas-bahu goals’.
Now, Arpita’s husband and Loveratri actor, Aayush Sharma has cleared the air with his clarification. “Pata nahi, kyun delete ki. Achhi photo thi, maine bhi dekhi. (I don’t know why she deleted the photo, I’d seen it too.) Woh on-set photos honge ya koi galat connotation na chala jaye is liye delete ki hongi. (Maybe she did it to avoid any wrong connotations since it was an on-set photo. ) But, it was a sweet photo,” Aayush said.
Salman and Katrina have done over half a dozen films together and have dated in the past. They broke up a few years ago but remain good friends. Katrina is on good terms with Salman’s family and stepped in to play Bharat’s leading lady after Priyanka Chopra pulled out a few days before she was supposed to shoot for the film.
Ali Abbas Zafar completed the Malta schedule of Bharat a few days ago. While Salman is back in India, Katrina is taking a break in London.
