Salman Khan receives fresh threat from Lawrence Bishnoi gang after multiple hoax; case registered

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has received a fresh threat, this time around from a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

After a series of hoax threats made against the actor in the past weeks, the Mumbai Police on Friday, confirmed that investigations are on and a case registered against an unknown person after a threat message was received at the Mumbai Traffic Control Room last night.

Accrding to IANS, the reported members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang even threatened to kill a songwriter who penned a track on Lawrence Bishnoi in one month's time. The message also had that the “songwriter’s condition will be so bad that he won't be able to write songs by his own name. If Salman Khan has the courage then he should save him.”

The Worli Police have filed a case against the unknown individual, and are reportedly trying to trace and track the phone number. Through this, they will know the exact location from where the message was sent.

This is the 5th time in a span of weeks, that the Mumbai Police have received threats and extortion bids against Salman and his father, Salim Khan. The two have been facing multiple threats, from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, and even some law-breakers claiming to be associates of the gang.

Mumbai Police traffic control room received a threat message early this week in the name of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi over WhatsApp, claiming that if Salman Khan wanted to stay alive "he should go to our temple and apologize or give Rs 5 crore."

"If he does not do so, we will kill him, our gang is still active," the message claiming to be in the name of Lawrence Bishnoi's brother said.

In the earlier death threat also received by Mumbai Police Traffic Control, a ransom of Rs 2 crore was demanded from the actor. On October 30, the Mumbai Traffic Police Control received a message in which an unknown person issued a threat and "demanded 2 crore rupees."

"In the message, the unknown sender said that if he (Salman Khan) does not get the money then he will kill Salman Khan," police sources revealed in a statement.
