Salman Khan leaves for Hyderabad to shoot for 'Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali' amidst death threats; escorted by police and bodyguards - PICS

Salman Khan is not letting any death threat hold him back from fulfilling his work commitments.

The actor, who received additional security cover from the police, was spotted flying out of Mumbai city from a private airport. Surrounded by armed policemen and bodyguards, the actor made his way to the airport to catch his Hyderabad bound flight. These pics by our ETimes paparazzi come after sources confirmed that the actor will stick to his schedule and fly out of the city with his team.

A source informed ETimes, "Salman and the entire team will be flying to Hyderabad today for a 25-day schedule of Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. Thereafter, Salman will return and join the Tiger 3 schedule in Mumbai."

Before heading in, Salman made sure to wave to the shutterbugs assembled at the gates. Fans shared the photos online and said, "Take care."

Early Monday morning, a Mumbai Police team visited the Bollywood actor's residence in Bandra and heightened security around the premises. These developments came a day after the actor and his father Salim Khan received an anonymous letter threatening to kill them.

On Sunday morning, Salim was reportedly sitting on a bench at the Bandra Bandstand after a morning walk when an unidentified man kept there a letter which mentioned a threat to kill him and his actor-son.

Later, with the help of his security personnel, Salim Khan contacted the police and an FIR was registered under section 506-II (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code at the Bandra police station.

On Monday, five officials of the Mumbai crime branch along with local police personnel visited Khan's residence at the Galaxy Apartments and were seen talking to his family members including brothers Sohail and Arbaaz.

They spent about an hour at the actor's home and then left, an official said to PTI. The police also visited the spot where Salim Khan had got the threat letter, he said.

Taking serious cognisance of the letter, the police are scanning the footage of various CCTVs installed in the area to identify the person who had left the threat note on the bench there, the official said.

In a statement reported by ANI, The Mumbai Police Commissioner, Sanjay Pandey said, "Mumbai Police is taking the matter as seriously as the case is. We are investigating the letter he received and the whole matter... no one has been detained as of now. We'll increase security if required."
