Sally Dexter confirms Faith Dingle's Emmerdale exit and huge twist fans won't see coming

Sally Dexter has confirmed her character's exit from Emmerdale - but there's a huge twist.

The actress, who plays Faith Dingle in the ITV soap, will soon be saying goodbye, but not before she finds out about Nate and Moira's shocking affair.

And she won't react well.

During an exclusive chat with Mirror Online at the Inside Soap Awards in London, she said: "[She won't react] well! She's not happy about it at all.

"She's got a bee in her bonnet because anything to do with Cain is utter important... she adds two and two and makes 49."

Sally says that despite her suspicions that something is going on, Faith keeps everything to herself.

She said: "No [she doens't tell anyone] because she wants to protect Cain and actually Moira is like a daughter to her, she completely cares about her too.

"She wants to be sure and that maybe there's something to do with it. So at first she wants to get them together and make sure they're alright.

"Is it going to change quite a lot? Yes, I expect it will change quite a lot."

Sally also said there's a shocking twist surrounding Nate's identity, and that it'll cause a lot of issues.

She told us: "Yes, there is a very shocking twist with Nate's identity and it has dire consequences for my son Cain, for Moira my daughter-in-law, and me."

And with everything going on, it looks set to be a dark time for the Dingles.

Sally said: "We have to come through a heavy storm and some of us might not make it. It was some of the most harrowingly emotional scenes I've ever done.

"Very special, and I care about them a lot. It might be the case that Faith has to go away."
