Report: Dolphins would not trade No. 48 pick for Josh Rosen

The Miami Dolphins have been busy this morning amid numerous reports that the team has been in heavy communication with the Arizona Cardinals in trade talks for 2018 first-round selection Josh Rosen.

Rosen, who was the team’s starting quarterback for the majority of 2018, struggled to acclimate to the pros. Some of those issues were self-inflicted wounds, while the conditions, coaching and supporting cast were also heavily impactful on Rosen’s perceived lack of success.

With the Dolphins, Rosen would have the opportunity to experience a fresh start and do so at a discounted cost to Miami. The Cardinals gave up quite a bit of draft capital to land Rosen to begin with, while Miami’s cost to acquire Rosen figures to be a bargain at this point. According to the Miami Herald’s Armando Salguero, the Dolphins would not be trading the No. 48 pick in tonight’s second round for Rosen, which does counter some of the initial reports from this morning.

This is going to continue to get interesting as things evolve, so check back to Dolphins Wire for more developments as the day progresses.
