A takeaway in Swinton has decided to rebrand itself with the name Jack Grillish - in homage to City and England winger Jack Grealish - and the deft advertising ploy appears to be working wonders. The takeaway has its own logo and everything.
It appears to be the work of a food outlet formerly known as the Food Station - and also currently known as the Food Station too, judging by pictures taken at the spot this morning. But the amusing ‘Jack Grillish’ rebrand is now live on food delivery services like Just Eat.
And it’s already getting plenty of attention online, with hilarity ensuing and retweets coming from the likes of BBC Sport.

The mysterious eaterie is located next door to the new branch of British Chinese restaurant WowYauChow on Chorley Road, which already has a place in Altrincham, and is set to open next month.

On the menu is a range of takeaway favourites, from burgers to wings. However, it’s also doing a few slightly more trendy offerings, among them a range of chicken parms - breaded chicken with cheese and various sauces - a smash burger and a parmo burger, the takeaway sensation sweeping the land after originating in Middlesbrough.
It’s not known whether Jack Grillish is the same business as the Food Station - the M.E.N has contacted the company for comment. It's certainly a smart bit of marketing, and its two reviews so far are both five stars, while the Food Station scored a very respectable 5.4 out of 6.
Mr Grealish is yet to comment.
