The emergency services were called to Walkden Road at its junction with Atkin Street in Walkden shortly before 9.36pm on Friday following reports of a concern for the welfare of a man who was in the street.

Footage from the scene showed police and an ambulance at the scene.

The junction was cordoned off while the emergency services dealt with the incident.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "Officers were called at about 9.36pm on 25 June to Walkden Road, Salford, to concerns over the welfare of a man.

"North West Ambulance Service also attended and a 32-year-old man was taken to hospital with stab injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

"Police aren't looking for anyone else in connection with the incident."
