Salford stabbing: Teen, 17, seriously hurt after being knifed in broad daylight

A teenage boy has been seriously injured after being stabbed in broad daylight.

The 17-year-old has been taken to hospital after the knife attack today in Salford, Greater Manchester.

Police were called at 2.45pm and an investigation has been launched.

It is unclear if the youngster's injuries are life-threatening, the Manchester Evening News reports.

A small residential street has been cordoned off after the incident.

Photos show police tape and officers at the scene.

An air ambulance response unit vehicle also attended, as well as forensic officers.

Greater Manchester Police say they have not made any arrests.

"Officers attended and the boy was taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
