Salford man disqualified from driving for 36 months

Salford man Matthew McCusker has been disqualified from driving for 36 months and ordered to pay a fine of £827 after being convicted of drink driving without due care.

McCusker pleaded guilty to the charge at Manchester Magistrates' Court on 30th June.

The 29-year old was arrested last month after being spotted driving his Volkswagen Golf at high speeds on the M60.

Despite claiming he hadn't been drinking, McCusker recorded a breathalyser reading of 65 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath at the roadside, and 61 micrograms in custody. The legal limit is 22 micrograms.
