Greater Manchester beauty fans love a cheeky trip to the salon.
To name a few, our professional pamper sessions often involve curly blow dries, fresh sets of acrylics, pedicures, lash extensions, tinted brows, lip plumping, spray tans, collagen facials, Brazilian waxes and oh so many more.
We're clearly a glamorous bunch up north - but apparently there's good reason for it.
In a recent study conducted by NicelyPolished, it was revealed that out of 73 big towns and cities in the UK - Salford took the number one spot as Britain's beauty capital.
That means that in Salford, there are more beauty venues per square mile than anywhere else in the country - 32.59 per square mile to be exact.
The city has approximately 20.99 hair salons per square mile compared to cities like Liverpool which has 5.56 and Birmingham with just 2.32.
And when it comes to taking our hair off - Salford remains as the crowning champion with 4.44 hair removal salons per square mile where as Cardiff has 1, Leeds has 0.23 and Huddersfield has 0.05 per square mile.
If you want a last minute nail appointment, your best chance of securing a booking is, again, in Salford with 4.07 nail salons per square mile. Bury has 1.12, Rochdale has 0.59 and Middlesborough has 0.24 per square mile.
According to the research, Salford has 32.59 beauty venues per square mile in total.
The research also revealed that, as well as Salford, other towns and cities in the North also ranked highly.
Blackburn took second place in the line-up with 23.49 beauty venues per square mile.
With Oldham placing third with 18.26 venues per square mile.
Burnley followed in fourth place with Blackpool missing out on fifth place (due to Watford) and ranking in sixth place instead.
But not all nearby towns and cities had the honour of making it into the top 10.
'Manchester' came in 27th place, followed by Bolton and Bury in 28th and 29th - and falling behind even more was Rochdale which took the 50th spot out of 73 other UK cities and towns.
