Salford City v Bolton Wanderers POSTPONED due to waterlogged pitch

Bolton Wanderers' away game against Salford City has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

The League Two clash at the Peninsula Stadium was due to kick off at 3pm today for Wanderers.

But there has been heavy rainfall before the game today in Salford and a pitch inspection took place a couple of hours before kick-off.

A further inspection occurred at 1.45pm with the officials testing the bounce of the ball of a couple of areas of the pitch which caused concern.

And discussions took place between the officials and both management teams on the pitch of the Peninsula Stadium, with the decision to call the game off confirmed at around 1.50pm.

A new date for the game is yet to be confirmed.

Wanderers are next due to be in action this Tuesday evening at home against Morecambe.
