Sales shoppers disappointed to find Liverpool's Lush store closed due to unforeseen circumstances

Liverpool’s huge Lush store was forced to close today when thousands of people will be heading into the city centre to hit the sales.

After a busy Boxing Day , which saw a huge queue form outside the door ahead of its opening at 10am yesterday, the store remained shut this morning and is expected to be closed all day, according to staff.

A sign on the window of Lush simply read: ‘Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances we are temporarily closed. We will open as soon as we can. We apologise for any inconvenience.’

People on social media shared their disappointment after arriving at the store to find it was locked.

On the Lush Liverpool Facebook page, Sam Gregory said: “It would be really helpful if they posted that they were closed today on here - I’ve just done a 40 min bus ride with an excited 4 year old to discover this”.

A store worker told the ECHO the shop has been forced to close due to a leak from the first floor to the ground floor. The shop is expected to remain closed for the day and staff are hoping it will reopen tomorrow.
