Salamander Bay to Swansea: new Hunter exposure sites added

EXPOSURE sites in the Hunter continue to grow, with the latest additions to the list spanning from Port Stephens to Swansea.

Hunter New England Health added five fresh exposure sites overnight, a day after health authorities warned of tree loppers going door to door in the region, potentially while infectious.

The new sites include a Salamander Bay bottle shop, a Swansea takeaway and a Warners Bay office supplies shop.

All are casual contact exposures, meaning anyone who visited during the specified windows must seek testing and isolate until they receive a negative result.

Liquorland Salamander Bay's exposures span 4.10pm to 10.10pm on Friday August 27 and 2.30pm to 7.30pm on Saturday August 28, while Salty's at Swansea Bridge was exposed for just ten minutes between 12.15pm and 12.25pm on Sunday, August 29.

Officeworks Warners Bay was also a short window, from 10am to 10.10am on Sunday.

Those sites came after Redhead Bakehouse and a Cameron Park service station were added in the early evening on Wednesday.

The bakery's exposure is from 11.20am to 11.30am on Friday August 27, while Caltex Cameron Park's was from 1.15pm to 1.20pm on the same day.
