‘Sake happened’: Kelly Clarkson and Kaley Cuoco trade blackout stories

Singer-turned-talk show host Kelly Clarkson recently shared a hilarious blackout anecdote on her show involving a trip to the dentist. Apparently, the “Since U Been Gone” singer got "so high" while at her dentist’s office that she didn't even recognise her own music later in the day.

Chatting with The Flight Attendant star Kaley Cuoco, whose own show centres around blacking out and forgetting what happened the night before, Clarkson described having dental work done, blacking out, and having to retrace her steps.

"I was at CVS filling some prescriptions because I’d had dental work the day before. And I look in my bag, and I have all these jewelry boxes," she said. "And I’m like, ‘What the hell?’ Like I have literally five to six big boxes of jewelry in my bag. And I’m like, ‘Did I rob someone’s house? What’s happening?'"

The Kelly Clarkson Show host had to call her assistant for answers. Apparently, after the dentist they'd all gone shopping and then out to dinner after rehearsal with her band.

"I had a full night, completely with eyes open walking around, that I don’t remember," she said. During rehearsal, apparently, she didn't recognise the band playing her own hits, saying, "That ain’t my song."

"Like, I was so high from the dentist!" said Clarkson. "What did the dentist give me, is my question."

"Wow, and where can we get it?," asked Cuoco.

Cuoco, meanwhile, had a slightly more traditional blackout story involving too much sake. The actress got so drunk once that she woke up in "a full riding outfit” from the day before. “I was fully clothed, so no one had fun that night," she laughed.

"What happened'?," she asked her husband, Karl Cook.

“Sake happened,” he responded.

Season 1 of The Flight Attendant is streaming now on HBO Max.
