Sajid Javid tries to get a high five from Boris Johnson but fails badly

Boris Johnson went down the line shaking the hands of Cabinet members ahead of his conference speech.

But the Chancellor was aiming for a more informal greeting.

Sajid Javid stuck his hand up for the PM to hit it.

And Mr Johnson ended up grabbing it and giving it a very surreal shake.

Despite the awkwardness the Chancellor got a special shout out in the speech referencing Mr Javid's shoutout to his mum in his own speech.

And he gave the PM a weird pat on the back after the speech.

Chancellor Sajid Javid tweeted: "Brilliant speech from Boris to close #CPC19.
Optimistic, upbeat and confident about the future - let's #GetBrexitDone and
seize the chance to do so much more."
