Saints vs. Vikings: First preseason depth chart of 2019

The New Orleans Saints issued their first depth chart for the 2019 NFL preseason, listing starters, backups, and reserves for every position. It’s a fun document to look over, even if the Saints immediately invalidated it by signing free agent Kerwynn Williams and waiving backup running back Matt Dayes with an injury designation. It’s worth noting that the initial preseason depth chart also still listed offensive lineman Nate Wozniak, who was waived Wednesday to make room for free agent tight end A.J. Derby.

In other words, it’s very much a work-in-progress. We’ll try to stay on top of it as further changes are reported and announced by the team.

You can find the full preseason depth chart in the gallery linked below, with starters and backups listed for every position. We’re also maintaining a quick-reference guide for the 90-man offseason roster, sorted by jersey number. Because new players are being added and incumbents waived so frequently, there may be a few temporary inaccuracies until we get everything caught up.
