Saints players react to USWNT’s 2019 World Cup victory

The United States Soccer Women’s National Team completed a huge back-to-back title run in the 2019 World Cup, having also won the 2015 World Cup in two dominant displays on the international stage. And many members of the New Orleans Saints tuned into the performance as star players Megan Rapinoe, Rose Lavelle, Alex Morgan, and Julie Ertz led their team to victory in a 2-0 triumph over the Netherlands in the World Cup Final. Two clutch goals from Rapinoe and Lavelle swung the game, and sealed it, in the United States’ favor.

It’s great to see Saints players not just remaining aware of what their fellow professional athletes are doing abroad, but showing such public support for their endeavors. Congratulations rained in quickly from Saints players and the team itself on social media:
