Saints' Foster Moreau Was Devastated on Sideline After Dropping Touchdown vs. Jaguars

Saints tight end Foster Moreau failed to come up with a critical catch late in the fourth quarter against the Jaguars on Thursday night, as a pass from Derek Carr bounced off his finger tips in the end zone.

Moreau wasn’t able to haul in the throw, dropping what could’ve been a game-tying touchdown reception with New Orleans trailing by seven at the time. Jacksonville eventually escaped with a 31–24 victory.

After the play, Moreau looked distraught. The tight end could be seen sitting on the bench with his hands over his helmet, staring straight down at the ground.

Afterward, he was consoled by some teammates, including wide receiver Juwan Johnson and center Erik McCoy, who appeared to be offering him words of encouragement after the crucial drop.

After the game, Moreau could be seen walking back to the locker room with Johnson, who had his arm around him, and running back Alvin Kamara, with whom he exchanged a hug.

The 26-year-old signed for New Orleans this offseason. After undergoing a physical with the team, Moreau was diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma. Later in the offseason, he announced his cancer was in full remission.

He’s appeared in five games this season, recording 10 receptions for 92 yards and one touchdown.
