Saints finalizing deal with former Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins

The Philadelphia Eagles moved on from Malcolm Jenkins, deciding not to exercise his 2020 team option.

Jenkins wasn’t on the open market long as Ian Rapoport is reporting that Jenkins will agree to a deal to return to New Orleans.

Jenkins hasn’t missed a snap in over two seasons and his leadership and selfless play are one of the big reasons Sean Payton has openly expressed remorse about letting him sign with the Eagles years ago.

Jenkins will likely assume the role left by Von Bell and add more value to a Saints secondary led by Marshon Lattimore.
