Saints DE Cameron Jordan would rather hit Chase Daniel instead of Mitch Trubisky

While it looks likely that Mitch Trubisky will be good to go Sunday, the Chicago Bears haven’t officially announced who will get the start at quarterback against the New Orleans Saints.

Which is a good move by the Bears to make the Saints game-plan for both Trubisky and Chase Daniel. When Saints stud defensive end Cameron Jordan was asked about who he’d rather see under center for the Bears, he said Daniel.

“I’ve been meaning to hit Chase ever since I got to the league,” Jordan said, “and I’ve already hit Mitch, so I’m okay with either one.”

Jordan knows Daniel well. The two are old friends that played together in New Orleans back when Daniel was Drew Brees’ backup. But given Daniel’s role as a career backup, Jordan hasn’t had a chance to play against his old friend.

“I love Chase,” Jordan said. “He was a part of the Saints when I first got to the league. He brought so much juice to our locker room when he was here. I just did a USO Tour out in South Korea with my guy. I just can’t wait for a chance to hit him. That’s how I show love to my friends.”

Jordan might not get his wish as Trubisky, who missed two games with a dislocated left shoulder injury, was a full participant in practice throughout the week, which is a good indication that, barring a setback, he’ll be the starter.
