Saints-Bears takeaways: The Saints are finally healthy and the Bears need a change at QB

Mitch Trubisky is the quarterback for the Chicago Bears, so this felt pretty inevitable.

And even if the New Orleans insisted on letting Taysom Hill “play quarterback,” it was likely going to end the way it did: A Saints 21-9 win in Sunday’s mid-day Wild Card game.

Though the Saints *finally* had their real offense on the field — DrewBrees, Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas had only played 67 snaps together heading into the day — this game became noteworthy mostly because Nickelodeon had some fun (and trouble) with it.

Still, there are things we can take from this one as we look forward to the (final?) matchup between Brees and Tom Brady next weekend, when the Saints and Buccaneers play in the divisional round.

And we should definitely talk about what’s next for the Bears, because this playoff layover is mostly a distraction from the difficult reality of what’s ahead.
