Saint Sister: Northern Irish duo release powerful sophomore album

ENCORE! © FRANCE 24

In an industry dominated by loud pop, Saint Sister's unique sound sticks out. The Northern Irish duo have been gaining a lot of attention since they met in Dublin in 2014. They were voted "Best Irish Act" by the readers of The Irish Times in 2016 and their 2018 debut album, "Shape of Silence", was nominated for the Choice Music Prize. They recently released a powerful sophomore album entitled "Where I Should End".

Morgan MacIntyre and Gemma Doherty join FRANCE 24's Florence Villeminot virtually to talk about the themes explored on the album, how much they're influenced by Irish tradition and how their songs reflect a changing, progressive Ireland.

We also look at releases by Canadian rapper Drake and living legend Diana Ross.
