Saint-Maximin and three up front - the Newcastle United team fans want to see at Norwich

Newcastle United fans want to see Allan Saint-Maximin start for the Magpies at Norwich City this weekend.

United's £16.4m signing from Nice is being assessed after picking up a hamstring injury this week.

But if declared fit, United fans want to see him line up alongside Joelinton and Miguel Almiron in an attacking formation.

Newcastle ended last season playing a 5-2-3 line-up, with Ayoze Perez and Salomon Rondon up front with Almiron, before the Paraguayan was himself injured.

Steve Bruce has so far preferred to go with three in midfield, using Almiron in a No 10 role.

We asked you to pick your Newcastle line-up for the game at Norwich, and our team selector produces the most popular XI.

You've stuck with three central defenders in Fabian Schar, Jamaal Lascelles and Paul Dummett, with Matt Ritchie on the left.

However, Sean Longstaff is the man you've chose to operate on the right-hand side.

Bruce may introduce Swedish right-back Emil Krafth at Carrow Road, while DeAndre Yedlin is still out following an operation over the summer.

Saint-Maximin's injury doubt may mean he starts on the bench if passed fit, while Bruce must also decide whether to start Jetro Willems after his second-half appearance against Arsenal.
