Sainsbury’s is cutting the prices of hundreds of everyday essentials - and promises to keep them low until at least the end of the year.
Prices will fall on everything from meat, fish, poultry, dairy and even frozen and packaged foods.
Products getting cheaper include Frozen Salmon Fishcakes and British Pork sausages as well as Stamford Street Food Company Yorkshire puddings and pre-prepared by Stewing Vegetables.
Sainsbury's food commercial director Paul Mills Hicks said: "We know that value is at the front of customers’ minds and we are committed to providing quality products at great prices.
"These latest price reductions demonstrate how we are continuing to help millions of our customers to get the most out of their food shop and live well for less as they gear up for the festive season.”
Sainsbury's said prices are falling online and in stores from Wednesday 7 October until at least Thursday 31 December 2020.
However the exact number of items, as well as their size of the drop, varies according to how big the store it and whether it's a Centrals or a local Local Sainsbury's.

- Sainsbury’s Pacific Salmon Fishcakes – was £1.25, now £1
- Sainsburys Pork Sausages– was £1.10, now 80p
- Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference Farmhouse Butter – was £2.15, now £1.95
- Stamford St. Food Company Yorkshire Puddings – was 65p, now 50p
- Sainsbury’s All Butter Croissants – was £1.25, now £1
- Sainsbury’s Thick Cut Orange & Ginger Marmalade – was 70p, now 60p
- Sainsbury’s Haddock Fillets – was £3.75, now £3.25
- Sainsbury’s Stewing Vegetables – was £1.50, now £1
