Kale is one of those foods that some people swear by for a healthy life while others do anything to avoid.
Well clearly there are plenty of people in both camps if the reaction to a new product that's just gone on sale at Sainsbury's is anything to go by.
As picked up on by Facebook group Extreme Couponing & Bargains UK, the supermarket is now selling a kale pizza base. Yes, you heard that right...a pizza base made from kale!
This comes hot on the heels of Iceland selling a vegan 'no cheese' pizza with a houmous base and shoppers are divided and it's proved too much for some pizza traditionalists out there , with one angry shopper branding it "hipster pizza."
Someone replied to Extreme Couponing & Bargains UK's photo of the kale pizza base, with "who did this to pizza?? Why?" and, echoing those sentiments, someone else "THATS NOT A PIZZA THATS NOT REAL... a disgrace that is no way."
However, on the flip side, there seems to be plenty of people up for giving the £1.50 pizza base a go.
Replying to the photo, someone wrote " I’m all over this," and another keen shopper posted "this is a need!"
