Sainsbury's issues urgent recall of a vegan food product as it contains meat

Supermarket giant Sainsbury's has issued an urgent recall of one of its Vegan food products as it contains meat.

The notice concerns its own brand Love Your Veg Butternut Squash & Lentil Lasagne which also contains milk which is not mentioned on the label.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

The product also contains pork and beef which are also not mentioned on the label as the product has been incorrectly packed with Sainsbury’s Bolognese Melt.

The recall concerns the Love Your Veg Butternut Squash & Lentil Lasagne with a use by date of July 17.

The company has issued a recall notice to its customers which explains to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.

If you have bought the product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, or those who do not eat pork or beef, do not eat it.
