Sainsbury's issues safety message to all customers ahead of Easter weekend

Sainsbury's has issued a safety message to shoppers ahead of the Easter weekend.

The supermarket giant is asking shoppers to consider making an earlier trip to the store ahead of Easter Sunday, which falls on April 4.

Bosses at Sainsbury's, which has stores across Merseyside, are expecting a busy weekend and have urged people to visit the stores sooner rather than later to "help keep everyone safe", reports BirminghamLive.

A spokesperson for Sainsbury’s said: "We may be busier than usual this Easter, so please shop earlier in the week to help keep everyone safer. Thank you."

The supermarket has also reminded customers to shop alone to help maintain social distancing in stores, unless you're with a carer or children.

A reduced number of people are currently allowed in Sainsbury's stores at one time to help stop the spread of coronavirus.
