Sainsbury's is changing its Nectar offers and some shoppers might miss out

Sainsbury's is changing the way it offers Nectar cardholders deals, it has been revealed.

The Money Saving Expert website looked into claims that shoppers had not received their weekly offers.

It found that the supermarket is changing the regularity of when customers are offered deals.

Sainsbury's revamped its points scheme in 2019, offering shoppers deals via the website or its app, but the move means some people could miss out on deals, the Liverpool Echo reports.

The retailer has already changed the wording on its website to remove reference to ‘weekly’ offers and instead will be focusing on providing shoppers with personalised deals and offers.

A spokesperson for Sainsbury's, which owns Nectar, told MoneySavingExpert: "We regularly review the promotions available through our Nectar app to ensure customers are always receiving personalised, valuable offers.

“As part of this process, some offers may be currently unavailable for a small number of customers and we apologise for any inconvenience."

While shoppers will still have access to offers, it is not known how frequently it will be. If customers are concerned about having not received their deals, they can contact Nectar via live chat on its website or by phone.
