Sainsbury's and Waitrose are urgently recalling these winter foods

Sainsbury's and Waitrose are pulling large pots of soups from the shelves because some of the ingredients in them are not declared on the labels.

It means that they may be a health risk to shoppers with an allergy or intolerance to a certain food type.

Sainsbury's - Tomato and Basil Soup

A small number of pots of  Sainsbury's Tomato and Basil Soup may contain pasta, which contains wheat, an ingredients that is not declared on the pack.

As a precautionary measure, the supermarket is asking customers who have an allergy or an intolerance to wheat, to return the soup to their nearest Sainsbury's store, where they will receive a full refund.

Waitrose - Carrot and Coriander Soup

Waitrose is recalling this food product as some pots have been filled with the incorrect soup, which contains gluten (barley) and celery, which are not declared on the label.

If you have an allergy to gluten or celery please do not eat it, instead package it back up and return it to your nearest Waitrose store for a full refund.
