Major supermarkets are dropping their "elderly and vulnerable only" limits as well as times dedicated specifically to the NHS and carers as opening hours are extended.
It means people can shop whenever they like, although elderly and vulnerable customers, along with key workers, still get priority - if not exclusivity - at certain times.
Sainsbury's confirmed to Mirror Money that it no longer has exclusive hours for specific groups.
"Customers can also now shop with us at any time but NHS and care workers will still have priority entry from 7:30am to 8am Monday to Saturday and elderly, vulnerable and disabled customers will still have priority entry from 8am to 9am Monday, Wednesday and Friday," a spokesman said.
"Customers are increasingly shopping with us at different times throughout the day and so we have now extended some of our opening hours. Customers can check our store locator for details."
Over at Tesco, Express and Metro stores have returned to their usual opening times - typically from 6am or 7am until 11pm or midnight.
Elderly and vulnerable shoppers still get "priority access" on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 9am until 10am.
The latest guidance also reads that NHS workers get priority hours every Tuesday and Thursday. This is along with browsing hour before checkouts open on Sundays.
Asda also now has long hours hours - with some shops open from 7am to midnight again.
They have also said there are no specific hours for the elderly and the NHS now.
Instead NHS staff and carers have "priority" - meaning they are allowed to skip queues - in larger stores on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8am to 9am, as well as Sundays 9am to 10am for browsing.
Morrisons, by contrast, still has specialist hours in place.
From 6am-7am Monday-Saturday people with an NHS badge will be able to get into the store to stock up on the products they need.
On Sundays most stores open at 9am for NHS workers to shop, with others able to enter at 9.30am.
Any other stores that open later than 9.30am, they will open 1 hour earlier for NHS staff, while in Scotland it opens at 7am for you to shop.
