Sainsbury's supermarket is recalling products from their own brand range after fears of Hepatitis A contamination.
The major supermarket retailer is recalling Taste the Difference Medjool dates because they might be contaminated with the bacteria, which can cause liver failure, fever and jaundice if caught.
A risk statement written by the supermarket says "these products might be contaminated with Hepatitis A.
"Symptoms caused by Hepatitis A usually include fever, nausea, abdominal cramps, diarrhoea, dark-coloured urine and jaundice (a yellowing of the skin).
"Sainsbury’s is recalling the above products. Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling these products. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product."

Customers are advised if they have bought the dates to not eat them but return them to the store where they can receive a full refund.
The NHS website describes Hepatitis A as a liver infection caused by a virus that's spread in the poo of an infected person.
It adds: "It's uncommon in the UK, but certain groups are at increased risk. This includes travellers to parts of the world with poor levels of sanitation, men who have sex with men, and people who inject drugs.
"Hepatitis A can be unpleasant, but it's not usually serious and most people make a full recovery within a couple of months.
"Some people, particularly young children, may not have any symptoms.
"But hepatitis A can occasionally last for many months and, in rare cases, it can be life threatening if it causes the liver to stop working properly (liver failure)."
