Saido Berahino in Rangers link with Ross Wilson said to be keen on ex Stoke City striker

Rangers are reportedly keeping tabs on former Stoke City striker Saido Berahino as they look to bolster their squad for next season.

Reports in Belgium, where Berahino currently plays his football, suggest Ibrox sporting director Ross Wilson is keen on the striker.

Berahino enjoyed success with Zulte Waregem after a difficult spell in the English Premier League. He was often touted with big money moves after bursting on to the scene at West Brom in 2013, but failed to kick off and fulfil his potential.

However a move to Ibrox could suit both parties with the player likely to be available for a fraction of the price he was once valued at.

According to the report from VoetbalNieuws, Rangers are also chasing Manuel Benson from Royal Antwerp.

The 23-year-old midfielder previously played for Genk – of course the former club of Rangers new boy Ianis Hagi.

It emerged on Tuesday evening that Hagi had signed a permanent deal after a successful loan spell with Steven Gerrard's side.
