The Stranger has proved a huge hit for Netflix within weeks of its release and if you're among the many people who've binge watched it, there is another series you need to get stuck into ASAP.
Starring the likes of Richard Armitage, Anthony Head, Siobhan Finneran and Jennifer Saunders, The Stranger only launched on the streaming service at the end of January, but within days prompted a huge reaction on social media as viewers rushed to vent their opinions on it.
Rest assured we'll not spoil anything here if you haven't yet watched it, but what we will say is that there's a reason why it has sparked such a frenzy. And the good news for anyone that's now finished The Stranger is that there is another drama on Netflix right now, by the same writer - Harlan Coben.
In fact, the drama in question, Safe, was released three years ago but has flown largely under the radar until now, with fans of The Stranger rushing to watch.
And, having watched it ourselves (all in one day!), we're going put our necks on the line here and say it's even better than The Stranger!
First released in 2017, Safe stars Dexter actor Michael C.Hall in the leading role of Tom, alongside Hustle and The Vice star Marc Warren and Amanda Abbingdon of Mr Selfridge and Sherlock fame.
It's official synopsis on the Netflix website: "After his teenage daughter goes missing, a widowed surgeon in an affluent neighborhood begins unearthing dark secrets about the people closest to him."
Just like The Stranger, eight-part series Safe has many twists and turns that will leave you guessing right up to the closing minutes and, like Harlan Coben's other hit drama, it's prompted a hotbed of social media activity.
After completing Safe, one viewer tweeted: "Watched Safe on Netflix. Heads gone!" and another reacted: "If you liked the stranger you need to watch Safe, by the same person but I actually think it was better."
A third posted: "To those who have watched The Stranger” on Netflix, You got to watch “Safe” on Netflix. It’s by the same people. And based on a book by the same author. It is soooooo good!! and another tweeted: "Just finished watching safe on Netflix n omg I can’t remember the last time I watched sommet (sic) that good."
