There's sadness in Leith as a much-loved bakery on Easter Road has shut down indefinitely.
The award-winning Manna House Bakery closed earlier this month after being open for 15 years.
Owners have given no reason for the shut down and no date has been set for its re-opening. The shop's website now redirects to another site.
Edinburgh Live has asked what was behind the closure and we have not received a response. A source said it was simply a "business decision."
The other Manna House branch in South Queensferry, which was launched more recently, remains open.
Foodies in the north of Edinburgh are upset by the departure of the Manna House, which was known for its bread and cakes.
One person wrote in the I Love Leith Facebook group: "That is a real shame. Such a lovely bakery, and nothing to compare to it in the area. It always seemed so busy too. How very sad."
Another said: "Noooo! The donker bread was the best bread in the world!"
Someone else posted: "Oh that’s a shame it was lovely and always seemed busy."
