An award-winning Edinburgh restaurant has closed its for good following the capital's coronavirus lockdown.
Well known for chef patron Jerome Henry's increidble modern European cuisine, Forth Street-based Le Roi Fou was a firm favourite with Edinburgh foodies and tourists alike.
The restaurant opened its doors in April 2017 and quickly won Best New Restaurant at The Scottish Food Awards that year. The following year Jerome took home the award for Classic Cuisine Chef of the Year.
During lockdown Le Roi Fou launched a home delivery service, bringing their renowned European cuisine into Edinburgh residents' homes.

Although an official announcement is yet to be made, Le Roi Fou's social media and website now reads "Le Roi Fou is permanently closed."
Locals have taken to Facebook to express their sadness at the news, with one writing "So sad as it was one of the very best restaurants in Edinburgh."
Another added: "That's a sad loss. Had many a long and indulgent meal there."
