Sadler's Peaky Blinder Irish Cup: Coleraine installed as favourites to lift blue riband trophy in May

Coleraine have been installed as favourites to lift the Sadler’s Peaky Blinder Irish Cup in May.

McLean Bookmakers have released odds for the four semi-finalists and Oran Kearney’s Bannsiders are being backed at 11/8 to go on and win the competition.

Coleraine, who lifted the BetMcLean League Cup a fortnight ago, are chasing a domestic treble.

They currently lie second in the Danske Bank Premiership, seven points behind leaders Linfield but boasting a game in hand at home to Glenavon on Tuesday night.

Glentoran, who beat Crusaders 2-1 in an explosive quarter-final at The Oval on Saturday, are priced at 9/4.

Mick McDermott’s men will face Cliftonville in the semi-finals at the end of the month, with Paddy McLaughlin’s men being offered at 11/4.

David Jeffrey’s Ballymena United, who have been drawn to face derby rivals Coleraine in the last-four, are big outsiders at 8/1.

The Braidmen are chasing their first Irish Cup success since 1989, while Cliftonville, who overcame Dungannon Swifts in the quarter-finals, last lifted the trophy in 1979.

Coleraine won the Irish Cup in manager Kearney’s first spell as manager in 2018, while the Glens last celebrated blue riband success when they beat Portadown in the 2015 showpiece.
