Sadistic Scots domestic abuser ordered partner to eat mouse nest and ran over her foot with car

A sadistic domestic abuser subjected his partner to a two-year terror campaign which saw him order her to eat a mouse nest.

David Macdonald repeatedly attacked his lover, once running on to her foot in his car and ignoring her desperate pleas to drive it off.

The 38-year-old also incited the woman to kill herself.

Thug Macdonald, from Kirkintilloch, Dunbartonshire, was convicted of 14 separate assaults against her at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.

He was sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison for the sick attacks in Midlothian, Edinburgh and Fife. Macdonald was also handed a 15-year non-harassment order to make him stay away from the traumatised woman.

A jury earlier returned guilty verdicts for the catalogue of crimes which took place between June 2016 and the end of 2018.

In one offence from 2016, Macdonald placed a knife against the woman’s body and incited her to kill herself.

He then struck the woman with a knife.

In July 2017, he ran over her foot, refused to move the car, then left her to crawl, severely injured, into a home.

Other incidents included instructing the woman to eat a mouse nest and making threats to kill a neighbour’s dog.
