Sadio Mane’s tough start to life at Bayern Munich continued on Saturday night after his side dropped down to fourth following a 1-0 defeat to Augsburg.
The Reds sold Mane to the Bundesliga giants in the summer in a deal that could be worth up to £35m. It saw the Senegal international’s six-year spell on Merseyside come to an end, where he scored 120 goals in 269 appearances.
Mane initially adapted well to life in Germany, scoring four goals in his first four games. However, he has since gone six matches without scoring.

The former Reds star was substituted during his side’s latest defeat, and they have now gone four Bundesliga games without a win, with Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting taking his place in the 78th minute.
The setback for Mane comes just days after former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann claimed the Senegal international doesn't look happy at Bayern and that Julian Nagelsmann was playing him in the wrong position.
“He is not integrated,” he told GMX via Sport Witness. “I saw him at Liverpool FC, where he played through the middle. That is not his position. Now he’s taking that position at FC Bayern as well. He is at his best when he comes from the outside. He doesn’t look happy to me.
"Other players like Leroy Sane, Jamal Musiala or, in defence, Lucas Hernandez, who is injured at the moment, are putting in outstanding performances.
“Nobody is talking about Mane at the moment. He seems isolated and hardly takes part in the game. FC Bayern has to get a grip on that.”
