Sadio Mane shrugs off Mo Salah 'spat' as Liverpool prepare for crunch Champions League tie

Sadio Mane insists there's no rift between him and Liverpool team-mate Mo Salah, as they prepare for a crucial game against RB Salzburg.

The pair had a war of words on the pitch against Burnley last month, with the Senegalese seemingly furious that Salah didn't pass to him when he was open.

After losing to Napoli in their first Champions League match of the season, Jurgen Klopp 's side return to European action tomorrow night and Mane has assured there's no problem between him and the Egyptian.

The forward explained: "I think things can happen in football.

"I felt a little bit frustrated because it is football and you want to score more goals - you can see Man City score eight, six, seven.

"For the team, it was really important for us to score as many goals as possible.

"It can happen, he didn't see me and I was frustrated. We are really good friends.

"It is forgotten, all behind us."

Joel Matip, Xherdan Shaqiri and Alisson are all out of tomorrow's match, though the latter could return to face Manchester United at the weekend.

Salzburg are currently top of the group, ahead of Napoli on goal difference, with Liverpool looking to get back to winning ways after defeat in Italy on match day one.
