Sadio Mane sets remarkable all-time record for Liverpool with a bit of Southampton help

This Liverpool team are breaking records and setting new achievements at such a rate that even the finest statisticians in football are struggling to keep up.

It seems like every week Jurgen Klopp's side are on the pathway to decimate a long-standing club record or a player is setting a new standard in domestic or European football in one way or another.

Simply, it is a stunning testament to the dizzy heights the Reds are reaching and a trend every member of the Anfield faithful hope ends no time soon.

Premier League top scorer: Who leads the race for the golden boot?

And once again another new incredible all-time Premier League record was set by Sadio Mane against Arsenal, in the 3-1 win in August, but it is one that has seemingly slipped under the radar.

The Senegalese striker arrived at Anfield in June 2016 and, it is is fair to say, has been nothing short of sensational ever since becoming a world-class undroppable player under Klopp and one of the most important cogs in a Champions League winning side with his contributions at some points unparalleled.

On his debut Mane scored a wonderful solo goal and Liverpool's fourth in the thrilling 4-3 victory over Arsenal at Anfield.

That match would be the second in an Anfield streak set by the attacker in the domestic competition which has seen him play 50 Premier League matches at the ground without losing - 49 with Liverpool and one with Southampton, a 1-1 draw where Mane scored for the Saints and was sent off.

Mane's streak of playing 50 games at Anfield without losing is a longer streak than any other player has achieved on any other ground in Premier League history (W40 D10).

Of course, that statistic comes from a huge team contribution but to be fair to Mane he has gone a huge way to helping the Reds come out with the spoils of a win in a great deal of those games.
