Sadio Mane's incredible Liverpool gesture following superb performance against Newcastle United

One lucky Liverpool fan received a very special birthday present from Sadio Mane following Saturday's victory over Newcastle United.

The Reds striker was in scintillating form as Jurgen Klopp's side came from behind to win 3-1 at Anfield.

Mane scored twice to pull Liverpool into the lead after Jetro Willems' strike put Steve Bruce's team into an early lead.

Following the final whistle, the Senegal international showed his class as he gave his shirt away to a lucky fan.

Billy Ripley, who was attending the match with his dad, was shocked as Mane jogged towards him with the top.

The 13-year-old had taken a sign to Anfield which read: "It's my birthday can I have your shirt?"

In the heartwarming video Mane can be seen hugging after presenting him with the birthday keepsake.

Billy later told the ECHO he was "shaking" and "buzzing" when the No.10 ran towards him.

The teenager said: "I've just turned 13 and go to the games three times a year.

"Me and my dad thought we could try and get someone's shirt as we were on the front row.

"Mane is my favourite player, I was shaking and buzzing," Billy added.

It was a record-breaking day for Mane as became the first player in Premier League history to play 50 games at home without losing a single match.
