Sadio Mane has agreed terms on a new five-year Liverpool contract.
The Senegalese becomes the latest star name to commit his future to the Anfield club after Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah penned fresh deals in April and July respectively.
The delay in a new contract for Mane had led to speculation that the forward was considering a move away from the Reds this summer.
Speaking to the club’s official website after news of the deal was announced, the Senegal international set his sights on bringing trophies to Merseyside.
Real Madrid have long been linked with a swoop for the 26-year-old, who has scored 40 goals in 86 appearances since joining Liverpool from Southampton.
However, Mane has come to an agreement over new terms that will run until 2023, and is expected to put pen to paper before the turn of the year.
He said: “I am very happy, very happy to extend my time at Liverpool.
“It is a great day for me and now I am looking forward to everything – to helping the team, to helping the club achieve our dreams and, especially, to win trophies.
“I’ve always said, when I knew I had a chance to come here I didn’t have to think twice. The right club in the right moment and with the right coach as well. I came here and was very happy.
“For me, I have made the best decision in my career.”
Mane has been in sensational form this season, scoring six goals in 11 Premier League appearances to tie with Mohamed Salah as the club's top scorer.
